Dining
The hotel is open all year around for both lunch and dinner, including Christmas and New Year, and all bank holidays; for reservations of 8 or more persons a £20.00 deposit is required.
Lunch is normally served in the delightful Garden Room. However, in the summertime on fine days, lunch is served ‘alfresco’ on the terrace under dappled shade and umbrellaed, linen covered tables, overlooking the River Frome and adjoining countryside. Lunch is served daily between 12.30 p.m. and 1.45 p.m.
Dinner is served in the hotel’s Abbots Cellar Restaurant, which offers a unique and and extremely ambient setting in which to sample the delights of elegantly presented cuisine, accompanied by an outstanding selection of fine wines. Pre-dinner drinks and home-made canapés can be enjoyed in the Cloisters Bar or Drawing Room, and on the terrace in the summertime. Dinner is served daily between 7.00 p.m. and 9.30 p.m.
Whilst we do not have a formal dress code as such, we do have a preference for gentlemen to wear a jacket and tie for dinner. However, ‘smart’, casual clothing is quite acceptable, particularly at lunch-time during the summer months.Moorings are available for guests arriving by boat, and children over the age of 8 are most welcome. Guide dogs welcome.
