Upon your arrival today, after settling into your room or suite, you may wish to enjoy a leisurely lunch or unwind by the fire in the Drawing Room with afternoon tea, served from 3:30 p.m. Our afternoon tea menu features an array of indulgent delights, including Tea with Apple Cake, a traditional ‘Dorset Cream Tea’ with homemade scones, jam, and clotted cream, or The Priory’s signature ‘Ritzy Tea,’ accompanied by scones, cakes, and pastries. Dinner is served between 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., beginning with pre-dinner drinks and a selection of freshly prepared canapés in the Drawing Room and Cloisters Bar.

The morning after the night before! Today is the perfect opportunity to indulge in a continental breakfast in the comfort of your room. Regardless of your breakfast preferences, this is a day meant for rest and relaxation—and perhaps a breath of fresh air! We highly recommend a leisurely stroll through our beautiful grounds or a charming walk around Wareham to build your appetite for lunch. Our New Year’s Day lunch is a popular choice among both residents and non-residents, so be sure to make a reservation if you wish to dine with us. Alternatively, you may wish to explore one of the local public houses for a traditional pub lunch (reservations may be required). Dinner is served between 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., beginning with pre-dinner drinks and freshly made canapés in the Drawing Room and Cloisters Bar.
There is plenty of time to linger over breakfast this morning (7.30 a.m. until 9.30 a.m.), as bedrooms and suites need not be vacated until 12 noon. Bearing this in mind, you may wish to take a last stroll around the gardens, or even stay a while longer for some lunch or a light snack before returning home. Rooms are available for a minimum of 2 nights over the New Year period, either 30th and 31st, or 31st and 1st. Room rates are for a 2 nights’ stay (total for 2 persons) and include Accommodation, Table D’Hote Dinner (4-Course Menu on New Year’s Eve followed by a Champagne ‘toast’ at midnight), Full English Breakfast, and V.A.T. 25% reduction for single occupancy is applied to the total cost of the room. Children over 14 years welcome (adult rates apply). We are a guide dogs only hotel.
A non-refundable deposit of £200.00 is required to secure every room reservation made for the Christmas period, together with a written letter of confirmation.
In instances where the hotel is unable to re-let accommodation that is cancelled during the following months, a percentage of the total room tariff will be charged accordingly – October 50%, November 75%, and December 100%. We therefore strongly recommend the use of U.K. holiday insurance.
